User Journeys for Enterprise Prompt Libraries – Southern California Edison

Project: AI Enterprise Prompt Portal for Southern California Edison

Client: Southern California Edison (I was an embedded Lead UX Designer for Logic20/20)
Timeline: November 2025 – February 2026
Role: Lead UX Designer – UX strategy, research, prototyping, validation
Team: Project Manger and Business Analysts (BA) worked together with UX during discovery to conduct interviews and synthesize findings.
Tools: Figma, interviews, modular design libraries

I started by mapping the complete user journey from discovery to execution, then layer business and user requirements provided by the BA at each touchpoint where they naturally intersect with user needs. For each journey stage, we also identify where requirements create friction or opportunity. A Field Engineer discovering prompts (user journey) intersects with search accuracy requirements (user need) and content governance standards (business need). Documented as:

Epic one:
Enterprise Prompt Platform Design Multi-faceted prompt discovery (learning / collaboration / favorites)

Adoption

Structured metadata and taxonomy to ensure discoverability and reuse. Applying clear, searchable names, consistent tags, versioning and a shallow hierarchy enables faster retrieval and accurate filtering. When combined with faceted discovery users receive contextual results, improving prompt adoption and governance.

Epic two: Governance, Prompt Composer, Approvals Security and Enterprise Controls.(variables/tools/attachments)

Execution

Execution in an enterprise prompt library refers to how prompts are invoked, orchestrated, secured, and monitored in production workflows. It ensures prompts are not just discoverable but also reliably and safely operationalized across teams and systems.

Epic three: Evaluations, Analytics, Managed AI Lifecycle. Sharing / Prompt Promotion / Engagement Metrics

Integration

Execution in an enterprise prompt library refers to how prompts are invoked, orchestrated, secured, and monitored in production workflows. It ensures prompts are not just discoverable but also reliably and safely operationalized across teams and systems.
